Below are several examples of marks designed for both my family and professional projects. These visuals illustrate familial pride and event themes, sometimes with a sense of humor, but always with a sophisticated point of view.
I began using the Chinese character “Ma” to mark our correspondence and sign the invitations and announcements we’d been sending out. The second set is a coat of arms designed for the Illinois Eye Bank’s fundraiser which replicated a famous 70’s nightclub in London who’s doorway was adorned by a traditional coat of arms. Big birthdays needn’t be painful. Humor can offset turning 50! “ONO / Oh No!” is a play on words. Ono means “delicious” in Hawaiian and was the theme for a family reunion.
