We celebrated my mother-in-law’s 70th birthday with a surprise musical concert and party. She was a great supporter of the musical arts and founder of an arts organization dedicated to exposing the fineries of Chinese music to the general population. It was befitting to design her invitation to reflect that refined sensibility.
